Over the years, it evolved into an internationally recognised interior design company with a distinctive design philosophy shaped by Ericson and the pioneering architect and designer Josef Frank, who joined the company in 1934.
Known for its expressive patterns, iconic pewter objects and timeless furniture designs, Svenskt Tenn combines a rich design heritage with exceptional craftsmanship.
Inspired by nature and his lifelong interest in botany, Josef Frank created a world of vibrant colours, fantastical flowers and lush, imaginative landscapes. His expressive textile patterns hold a unique position in twentieth-century textile design.
